認識基督最寶貴 3 弟兄姊妹，你們要靠主喜樂！我再把這些事寫給你們，對我來說並不麻煩，對你們卻有好處。 2 你們要提防那些犬類，那些作惡的人，那些鼓吹必須受割禮[a]才能得救的人。 3 因為真正受割禮的人是我們這些靠著上帝的靈敬拜、以基督耶穌為榮、不倚靠自身條件的人。

暗世明燈
12 所以，我親愛的弟兄姊妹，既然我在你們那裡的時候，你們一向都很順服；如今我不在你們那裡，你們更要順服，要戰戰兢兢地活出得救後應有的生命。 13 因為你們立志和行事都是上帝在你們心中工作，為要成就祂美好的旨意。
14 無論做什麼事，都不要抱怨，也不要與人爭論， 15 好使你們在這個彎曲敗壞的時代中無可指責、誠實無偽，作上帝純潔無瑕的兒女，如同明光照耀在世上， 16 堅守生命之道。這樣，到了基督再來的時候，我可以誇口自己沒有空跑一場，也沒有白費功夫。 17 你們的信心就是獻給上帝的事奉和祭物，即使在上面澆奠我的生命，我也很喜樂，並且和你們大家一同喜樂。 18 同樣，你們也要喜樂，要和我一同喜樂。
保羅的得力同工
19 如果主耶穌許可，我希望儘快派提摩太去你們那裡，我好知道你們的近況，心裡得到安慰。 20 因為沒有人像他那樣跟我一同真正關心你們的事。 21 別人都只顧自己的事，並不關心耶穌基督的事。 22 但你們知道提摩太的為人，我與他情同父子，一起事奉和傳揚福音。 23 所以，我的案子一旦明朗了，我會立刻派他去見你們。 24 我深信如果主許可，我自己很快也會去你們那裡。
25 另外，我覺得有必要讓以巴弗提回到你們那裡。他是我的弟兄、同工和戰友，也是你們差遣來服侍我、供應我需用的。 26 他很想念你們，並且感到不安，因為你們聽說了他患病的事。 27 他確實病了，幾乎喪命；但上帝憐憫了他，不但憐憫他，也憐憫了我，沒讓我憂上加憂。 28 所以，我想儘快派他回去與你們相聚，好讓你們喜樂，也可以減少我的掛慮。 29 你們要在主裡歡歡喜喜地接待他，而且要敬重像他這樣的人。 30 他為了基督的工作，將生死置之度外，幾乎喪命，以彌補你們服侍我的不足之處。
認識基督最寶貴
3 弟兄姊妹，你們要靠主喜樂！我再把這些事寫給你們，對我來說並不麻煩，對你們卻有好處。 2 你們要提防那些犬類，那些作惡的人，那些鼓吹必須受割禮[a]才能得救的人。 3 因為真正受割禮的人是我們這些靠著上帝的靈敬拜、以基督耶穌為榮、不倚靠自身條件的人。 4 其實我也可以靠自身的條件。如果別人覺得可以靠自身的條件，我更可以。 5 我出生後第八天就受了割禮，我是以色列人，屬於便雅憫支派，是道道地地的希伯來人。論守律法，我是法利賽人； 6 論熱心，我曾經迫害教會；論律法要求的義，我是無可指責的。 7 但是為了基督，我從前以為有價值的，現在認為毫無價值。 8 不但如此，我看萬事都毫無價值，因為認識我主基督耶穌最寶貴。我為祂失去了一切，我把失去的一切視為垃圾，好得到基督， 9 與祂聯合。我成為義人不是因為遵行律法，而是因為信靠基督。這義從上帝而來，以信為基礎。 10 我渴望認識基督和祂復活的大能，與祂一同受苦，甚至到死的地步[b]， 11 這樣我無論如何都可以從死裡復活。
直奔標竿
12 這並不是說我已經得到了或者純全了，我還要竭力追求，或者可以達到基督耶穌要我達到的目標。 13 弟兄姊妹，我並非以為自己已經得到了，我只專注一件事，就是忘記背後，努力向前， 14 直奔目標，要贏得上帝藉著基督耶穌從天上呼召我去得的獎賞。 15 我們中間成熟的基督徒都應該有這樣的看法。即使你們在什麼事上看法不同，上帝也必讓你們明白。 16 然而，我們長進到什麼程度，就照著什麼程度去行。
17 弟兄姊妹，你們要一同效法我，也要向那些以我們為榜樣的人學習。 18 我已經多次告訴你們，現在又流著淚提醒你們：有許多人行事為人與基督的十字架為敵。 19 他們的神就是自己的肚腹，他們以自己的羞恥為榮，只想著地上的事，他們的結局是滅亡。 20 我們卻是天上的國民，殷切等候從天降臨的救主，就是主耶穌基督。 21 那時，祂要以降服萬物的大能將我們這卑賤的軀體改變成像祂那樣榮耀的身體。
保羅的勸勉
4 我所親愛、所想念的弟兄姊妹，你們就是我的喜樂，我的冠冕。我親愛的弟兄姊妹，你們要靠主堅定不移。 2 我懇求友阿蝶和循都姬要在主裡同心。 3 忠心的同工啊，請你幫助她們二人，因為她們曾與我、革利免和其他同工一起為福音辛勞，這些人的名字都記錄在生命冊上了。
4 你們要靠主常常喜樂！我再說，你們要喜樂！ 5 要讓眾人都知道你們是謙和寬容的人。主快來了。 6 你們應該一無掛慮，凡事要藉著禱告和祈求，以感恩的心將你們的需要告訴上帝。 7 這樣，上帝那超越人所能理解的平安必在基督耶穌裡保守你們的心思意念。
8 最後，弟兄姊妹，你們要思想一切真實、可敬、公義、純潔、可愛、有好名聲、有美德和值得讚許的事情。 9 你們從我身上學習、領受、看到和聽到的，都要照著去行。這樣，賜平安的上帝就必與你們同在。
致謝
10 我在主裡真是非常喜樂，因為你們現在又一次關心我。其實你們向來都很關心我，只是沒有機會。 11 我並非有缺乏才這樣說，因為我已經學會在任何處境中都能知足。 12 我知道如何過貧窮的日子，也知道如何過富足的日子。我學到了秘訣，不論飽足或饑餓，豐裕或缺乏，在任何情況下都可以處之泰然。 13 靠著賜我力量的那位，我凡事都能做。
14 然而，你們與我共患難，真是太好了。 15 腓立比人啊！你們也知道，在我離開馬其頓傳福音的初期，除了你們以外，沒有別的教會供應我的需要。 16 即使我在帖撒羅尼迦的時候，你們也不止一次供應過我的需要。 17 我不求得到你們的饋贈，只希望你們所做的會帶給你們更大的賞賜。 18 我現在樣樣都有，豐富有餘。我從以巴弗提手上收到了你們送給我的禮物，已經充足了。這些饋贈是蒙上帝悅納的馨香祭物。 19 我的上帝必按照祂在基督耶穌裡的榮耀，豐豐富富地賜給你們所需用的一切。
20 願榮耀歸給我們的父上帝，直到永永遠遠。阿們！
問候
21 請代我問候在基督耶穌裡的眾聖徒。我這裡的弟兄姊妹也問候你們。 22 所有的聖徒，特別是在凱撒宮裡工作的人，都問候你們。
23 願主耶穌基督的恩典與你們的靈同在！

Imitating Christ’s Humility
Therefore if you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any common sharing in the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion,
2 then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and of one mind.
3 Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves,
4 not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.
5 In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus:
6 Who, being in very nature a”God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage;
7 rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness.
8 And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to death—even death on a cross!
9 Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name,
10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
11 and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
Do Everything Without Grumbling
12 Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obeyed—not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence—continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling,
13 for it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose.
14 Do everything without grumbling or arguing,
15 so that you may become blameless and pure, “children of God without fault in a warped and crooked generation.” Then you will shine among them like stars in the sky
16 as you hold firmly to the word of life. And then I will be able to boast on the day of Christ that I did not run or labor in vain.
17 But even if I am being poured out like a drink offering on the sacrifice and service coming from your faith, I am glad and rejoice with all of you.
18 So you too should be glad and rejoice with me.
Timothy and Epaphroditus
19 I hope in the Lord Jesus to send Timothy to you soon, that I also may be cheered when I receive news about you.
20 I have no one else like him, who will show genuine concern for your welfare.
21 For everyone looks out for their own interests, not those of Jesus Christ.
22 But you know that Timothy has proved himself, because as a son with his father he has served with me in the work of the gospel.
23 I hope, therefore, to send him as soon as I see how things go with me.
24 And I am confident in the Lord that I myself will come soon.
25 But I think it is necessary to send back to you Epaphroditus, my brother, co-worker and fellow soldier, who is also your messenger, whom you sent to take care of my needs.
26 For he longs for all of you and is distressed because you heard he was ill.
27 Indeed he was ill, and almost died. But God had mercy on him, and not on him only but also on me, to spare me sorrow upon sorrow.
28 Therefore I am all the more eager to send him, so that when you see him again you may be glad and I may have less anxiety.
29 So then, welcome him in the Lord with great joy, and honor people like him,
30 because he almost died for the work of Christ. He risked his life to make up for the help you yourselves could not give me.
