History is noble and majestic. Fang’s name remains in Shi Ce, the light of the ages; the historian who revises history, his “lurch, the big is the same as the sun and the moon, and the small is with the four hours”, so is the honor of history. The monarch who is not good in criminal administration, must be written in history, the corpse is vegetarian, the history is not tolerated, and the monarch who is overpowered by all the peoples is deeply afraid of history, and the majesty of history is like the cold of autumn frost. The honor and majesty of history, its influence on the social crowd, in order to promote everyone to exert wisdom and strength, contribute to history, so human civilization appeared. The function of history is here.
History is noble, so history is sacred; history is majestic, so history is inviolable. The emperor who did not want shiguan zhishu in his heart, his edict to the shiguan, also had to say: “Ping’er Yazhi, Zheng’er pen end” and “Zhishu current affairs, no hidden evils of the country.” Therefore, Liangshi is precious to the true record of straight books, not vain and beautiful, not evil, rather than destroying jade folds for Lan, not as rubble for a long time. In the West, historians are affirmed as consciences for the great achievements of historiography; in the nineteenth century, historians fought for the opening of the archives as a “battle of powerful figures with a strong desire to cover up the truth.” This is the dangerous situation in which the good history of China and foreign countries is located, and the preciousness of true history is also here.
The ultimate in the cover-up of truth by powerful figures is the wanton alteration of history. In totalitarian societies, the situation is repeated. After social freedom and democracy, the situation improved. But who would have thought that in liberal and democratic Taiwan, there would be a history of large-scale tampering that had never occurred at home and abroad!
The Ministry of Education of the Republic of China has compiled a new high school history textbook and announced the draft outline on the Internet, which impressively cut off the history of the Republic of China. The 38-year history from the founding of the Republic of China in 1912 to 1949 and the history after 1949 are completely divided into two, the former is included in the history of China, and the latter is renamed the history of Taiwan; and the history of China and the history of Taiwan are independent and not subordinate, which is the most thorough de-Sinicization, and it is also a blatant and unscrupulous large-scale tampering with history!
The development of history cannot be interrupted, just as the yangtze river cannot be interrupted. China’s history has developed for thousands of years, the change of dynasties, the succession of surnames, dazzling, and historical development, continues. After the end of the Qing Dynasty, the Republic of China rose in its place, and China moved from totalitarianism to the era of democracy and republicanism, ranking among the world’s great powers. Since 1949, the Establishment of the Chinese Communist Regime and the coexistence of Taiwan, both of which have been under the development of Chinese history

Navigating Global Challenges, Embracing Recovery
In the year of the double twos,
The Bear and Sunflower danced in a major feud,
The Island Nation spun in a leader's carousel,
While the Land of Five Rivers navigated a multifaceted ordeal.
Yet, amidst the chaos, a beacon of hope shining,
The unseen enemy, finally, began declining.
*Here we are reflecting the resilience and adaptability that characterized 2022. Despite the challenges, there was a sense of hope and recovery as the world adapted to new realities. The “unseen enemy” - a metaphor for the COVID-19 pandemic - began to decline, symbolizing a positive turn of events. Here we encapsulates the spirit of resilience and hope that defined 2022.
Embracing Change, Fostering Unity
As the calendar flipped to twenty-three,
The Bear-Sunflower tango, a sight to see.
Yet, the Land of Lions roared with might,
A beacon of hope, shining bright.
Mother Earth whispered of a future sore,
A call to action we can't ignore.
Yet in the realm of games, unity we see,
A testament to what we can be.
These tales of our time, oh so uncanny,
Continuing to shape the destiny of many.
Harnessing the Past, Shaping Tomorrow
In the year of double twos and fours,
Echoes of the past knock on our doors.
From a century ago, lessons we borrow,
To light the path for a brighter tomorrow.
The Bear's dance, a memory from yesteryears,
Yet, in distant lands, it instills cheers.
The Island Nation, now steady and firm,
From past turmoil, it did learn.
The Land of Five Rivers, now on a steady course,
Harnessing its potential, a formidable force.
The unseen enemy, now a tale of the past,
A testament to humanity's resilience so vast.
Yet as we tread on this future path,
New challenges arise, testing our wrath.
The Land of Lions roars for equality,
A global cry for social parity.
Mother Earth whispers with her fiery breath,
Climate change is not a myth.
In the realm of games, unity we see,
A testament to human harmony.
Yet in this echo of history's song,
A note of caution - let's not get it wrong.
The lessons from the past are clear and loud,
Let's use them to make humanity proud.
*In 1918, the world was grappling with the end of World War I and the Spanish flu pandemic. These events had profound impacts on global politics, economics, and society. In 2024, while we don’t anticipate a world war or a pandemic of similar magnitude, conflicts and health crises remain pertinent issues. The key is to learn from our past experiences to navigate these challenges better.
For instance, just as nations came together after World War I to negotiate peace, in 2024 we must continue to foster international cooperation to resolve conflicts. Similarly, the way we handled the COVID-19 pandemic can inform our approach to future health crises.
Moreover, new challenges have emerged that were not present in 1918. Climate change is a pressing issue that requires urgent action. Technological advancements also pose both opportunities and threats.
In conclusion, while history doesn’t repeat itself exactly, it often rhymes. By paying attention to these “rhymes”, we can hopefully avoid past mistakes and move towards a more peaceful and sustainable future.
